In her senior thesis at Princeton, Michele Obama, the wife of Barack Obama stated that America was a nation founded on "crime and hatred". Moreover, she stated that whites in America were "ineradicably racist". The 1985 thesis, titled “Princeton-Educated Blacks and the Black Community" was written under her maiden name, Michelle LaVaughn Robinson.
Michelle Obama stated in her thesis that to "Whites at Princeton , it often seems as if, to them, she will always be Black first…" However, it was reported by a fellow black classmate, "If those “Whites at Princeton ” really saw Michelle as one who always would “be Black first," it seems that she gave them that impression".
Most alarming is Michele Obama’s use of the terms “separationist” and “integrationist” when describing the views of black people.
Mrs. Obama clearly identifies herself with a "separationist" view of race. "By actually working with the Black lower class or within their communities as a result of their ideologies, aseparationist may better understand the desperation of their situation and feel more hopeless about a resolution as opposed to an integrationist who is ignorant to their plight."
Obama writes that the path she chose by attending Princeton would likely lead to her "further integration and/or assimilation into a white cultural and social structure that will only allow me to remain on the periphery of society; never becoming a full participant."
Michele Obama clearly has a chip on her shoulder.
Not only does she see separate black and white societies in America , but she elevates black over white in her world.
Here is another passage that is uncomfortable and ominous in meaning:
"There was no doubt in my mind that as a member of the black community, I am obligated to this community and will utilize all of my present and future resources to benefit the black community first and foremost. "
What is Michelle Obama planning to do with her future resources if she’s first lady that will elevate black over white in America ?
The following passage appears to be a call to arms for affirmative action policies that could be the hallmark of an Obama administration. "Predominately white universities like Princeton are socially and academically designed to cater to the needs of the white students comprising the bulk of their enrollments."
The conclusion of her thesis is alarming. Michelle Obama’s poll of black alumni concludes that other black students at Princeton do not share her obsession with blackness. But rather than celebrate, she is horrified that black alumni identify with our common American culture more than they value the color of their skin.
"I hoped that these findings would help me conclude that despite the high degree of identification with whites as a result of the educational and occupational path that black Princeton alumni follow, the alumni would still maintain a certain level of identification with the black community. However, these findings do not support this possibility."
Is it no wonder that most black alumni ignored her racist questionnaire? Only 89 students responded out of 400 who were asked for input.
Michelle Obama does not look into a crowd of Obama supporters and see Americans. She sees black people and white people eternally conflicted with one another.
The thesis provides a trove of Mrs. Obama’s thoughts and world view seen through a race-based prism. This is a very divisive view for a potential first lady that would do untold damage to race relations in this country in a Barack Obama administration.
Michelle Obama’s intellectually refined racism should give all Americans pause for deep concern.
Maybe she’s changed, but she sure sounds like someone with an axe to grind with America . Will the press let Michelle get a free pass over her obviously racist comment about American whites? I am sure that it will.

Obama is a clown. I have never done better than the last 8 years. Low taxes, done very well in the stock market because I diversify rather than putting all my money in tech stocks or investing in overpriced real estate. The tax cuts have worked. If the capital gains and dividends tax go up the stock market will tank. Obama is not bipartisan if his voting record is 100 percent liberal. I want free trade, low taxes, and my economic freedom.
I want my money back from her scholarship, she sure looks like on angry black woman…by the way, if the black leaders never sold there people into slavery to begin with where would blacks be right now? South Africa? Floating face down in a river in Rwanda - how’s that for some truth!!

What offends me about this page isn’t the article. Even though the basis for the argument is built around a thesis paper that was written over 23 years ago, I see the point that is was trying to be made. What disappoints me is the comments being made on this page. The pas 8yrs may have been good to you if you are in a high enough tax bracket to be eligible for the tax breaks that Bush has made. For those of us who’ve decided to go into the military instead of going to college and do their time to get out and try to get a low skill job to find out that it’s being outsourced to other lower wage countries because the big corporations are getting big tax breaks to expand globally. To the guy that made the comment about South Africa. The way you think is poisonous and also to the person who wrote this article. Yes, people should be held accountable for what they have done in the past but if they have shown a positive record of change then we should not hold their past against them. If black people was to think like this then those of african descent should have an uprising against all whites for what they’re anscestor have done. To me that wouldn’t be right so using a thesis written 23yrs ago. This I think should be excluded from your argument about Michelle Obama. I hope I didn’t rattle on too much. Thanks for reading.

I am worried that the prediction of ancient text tells ( per history channel ) of Anti-christ , that will come out of East , will rise out of nowhere to great power and blind the people and lead them to final distraction. I am afraid that that man is not Osama bin Laden but Barak Obama. It seems that revalations of end of the world predict arival of man that all people idolize without much explanation a.k.a Obama. …..End I am not even religous. I am afraid that maybe the revalations are true, of such a man and most of us are truly blind about it. Mark my words that he will be the next president - it’s his destiny to distroy all humanity. As also Miayns predicted for end of the world in 2012 , according again to History channel programs.

ah, Deacon … you don’t get it …

My man, I am not allowed to get the tax break as I am in a high enough tax bracket that the tax code says I don’t need it … This tax credit is aimed at the bottom rungs, not the top .. You didn’t have to make anything to get it, you just had to file. If you didn’t file, well .. thats got nothing to do with ‘tax bracket’ … more of you just blew it.
And I have two son’s who went into the military and did 3 tours in Iraq so don’t play the ‘I’m poor so I went into the military ‘ card either …

I’m gonna just say this without sugar coating it with regards to Michelle Obama’s statement about being proud of her country for the first time in her adult life. Perhaps some perspective can be gained. I don’t know why people are afraid to say it. What most white Americans fail to realize is that we are just now arriving at the point in American history where African Americans can truly say that they are proud of this country. Look back at what black people have been through here. Do you realize that this is the first African American generation to not be subjected to open and blatent racial discrimination? It’s not so much that Michelle Obama did not love America and all that America could be, but she can now without reservation say that she is truly proud of this country. I wouldn’t even expect white America to understand that, and it appears that most don’t. Your lives have been largely unaffected by racism. Do Jews still have issues with the holocaust? Of course thay do! Who could blame them? The advantage for them is that their skin color allows them to assimilate into American society easier. How many white women clutch their purses when they see a Jewish guy coming? You truly must walk in a man’s shoes.

A chain e-mail about Michelle Obama purports to be excerpts from a senior thesis she wrote while at Princeton University.
It’s true that Obama, then Michelle Robinson, attended Princeton and wrote a thesis titled “Princeton-Educated Blacks and the Black Community.”
In Obama’s thesis, she sought to quantify how the attitudes of black Princeton alumni changed after graduation in regard to race relations and social change. Obama was especially interested in the attitudes of Princeton alumni in regard to improving the lives of lower-income blacks.
To document the change in attitudes, Obama devised an 18-question survey and mailed it to black alumni. Her thesis is a discussion of her methodology and an analysis of the results. It contains a limited amount of personal opinion in the introduction.
But the thesis did not say that the United States was founded on “crime and hatred” and that whites in America are “ineradicably racist.” This appears to be a complete fabrication.
The thesis is available on the Internet; the politics news site Politico reported on it in February 2008 and posted a copy it had obtained from Princeton University.
We downloaded a copy, which appears to be complete with no numbered pages missing. We read it, but we did not find the phrases the e-mail describes.
We took the additional step of scanning the document through optical character recognition software so we could search its text electronically. An automated search did not find the words “crime,” “hatred,” “hate,” “ineradicably,” or “racist” in the document.
The e-mail goes on to list some accurate quotes from the thesis, but its initial accusations are fiction. The words “crime and hatred” and “ineradicably racist” are inventions of whoever penned the e-mail, not words that appeared in Obama’s thesis. Because of that fabrication and the e-mail’s intention to defame the Obamas, we rate this claim Pants on Fire!

John Kerry, you’re off the hook. John Edwards, we’re giving you a well-deserved break. You guys were great flip-floppers in your day, but now you’ve been seriously upstaged. All hail the new King of Flip-Flop - Barack Obama.
As a rookie flip-flopper, Obama first drew the attention of the environmental lobby about this time last year:
Although summer hasn’t officially begun, flip-flop season is well underway and it appears Senator Obama has joined the club. Typically flip-floppers are criticized for their inability to stay firm on an issue, but in Obama’s case, his flop has many environmentalists flipping back his way.
On Tuesday Obama, whose support for coal-to-liquid has been widely criticized by environmentalists, sent out a press release clarifying his position on liquid coal:
Senator Obama supports research into all technologies to help solve our climate change and energy dependence problems, including shifting our energy use to renewable fuels and investing in technology that could make coal a clean-burning source of energy…However, unless and until this technology is perfected, Senator Obama will not support the development of any coal-to-liquid fuels unless they emit at least 20% less life-cycle carbon than conventional fuels.
This “clarification” is an important step for the Obama campaign in trying to gain support from environmental organizations and voters.
For the Candidate of Hope and Change, there were bigger and better flip-flops yet to come. As his campain began to toss Obama’s positions on issue after issue under the bus, the Senate’s most liberal member made quite an impression on the Washington Post. Back in February, WaPo cited these “Top Obama Flip-Flops”:
1. Special interests In January, the Obama campaign described union contributions to the campaigns of Clinton and John Edwards as “special interest” money. Obama changed his tune as he began gathering his own union endorsements. He now refers respectfully to unions as the representatives of “working people” and says he is “thrilled” by their support.
2. Public financing Obama replied “yes” in September 2007 when asked if he would agree to public financing of the presidential election if his GOP opponent did the same. Obama has now attached several conditions to such an agreement, including regulating spending by outside groups. His spokesman says the candidate never committed himself on the matter.
3. The Cuba embargo In January 2004, Obama said it was time “to end the embargo with Cuba” because it had “utterly failed in the effort to overthrow Castro.” Speaking to a Cuban American audience in Miami in August 2007, he said he would not “take off the embargo” as president because it is “an important inducement for change.”
4. Illegal immigration In a March 2004 questionnaire, Obama was asked if the government should “crack down on businesses that hire illegal immigrants.” He replied “Oppose.” In a Jan. 31, 2008, televised debate, he said that “we do have to crack down on those employers that are taking advantage of the situation.”
5. Decriminalization of marijuana While running for the U.S. Senate in January 2004, Obama told Illinois college students that he supported eliminating criminal penalties for marijuana use. In the Oct. 30, 2007, presidential debate, he joined other Democratic candidates in opposing the decriminalization of marijuana.
Top flip-flops? Pshaw, that was nearly four full months ago, and the man was just getting warmed up. And Obama’s squirming on campaign finance hadn’t even gotten off the ground. The New York Post recently ripped Obama for flipping on this and some other issues as well:
This isn’t the first time Obama has, um, “changed” political lanes:
* He ripped Hillary Clinton for months for voting to list Iran’s Revolutionary Guard as a terrorist organization. Days after Clinton conceded, Obama flipped and said he supported the definition.
* Obama repeatedly vowed to meet with various heads of terror states - most notably Ahmadinejad of Iran - “without preconditions.” Then, with the nomination in sight, he zigzagged: “There’s no reason why we would necessarily meet with Ahmadinejad. He’s not the most powerful person in Iran.”
* In October, he supported NAFTA expansion. In March, campaigning in the Ohio primary, he called for a “reopening” of the trade pact’s terms. This week, he called his own primary rhetoric “overheated” and said NAFTA has had a positive effect on the US economy.
* Yesterday, after signaling opposition to nuclear power, he told Democratic governors he’s open to expanding it.
That Obama is now the King of Flip-Flop will come as a surprise only to his devoted followers who have been too busy swooning over him to notice. Those of us not so easily smitten could have predicted this turn of events. In fact, some did. Consider this blogger who - in a post from August of 2007 titled “Obama The Anti-War Candidate NOW Says He’ll Invade Another Country!” - predicted:

Obama’s flip-flop on campaign finance was one that did manage to capture the attention of Mark Shields, a liberal columnist who, unlike most of his peers, still has some integrity.
Barack Obama made history this week. He became the first presidential nominee since Richard Nixon in 1972 to state that his campaign will be funded totally by private donations with no limits on spending.
It was a flip-flop of epic proportions. It was one that he could not rationalize or justify. His video was unconvincing. He looked like someone who was being kept as a hostage somewhere he was so absolutely unconvincing in it. It could not have passed a polygraph test.
I mean, coming up with this bogus argument the Republicans have so much more money — the Republicans don’t have so much more money. He’s raised three times as much as John McCain has.
He has every possible committee, except Republican National Committee, Democrats at the Senate level, congressional level have this lopsided edge over Republicans. They spent three times as much, did Democratic leaning 527s, in the last election as did Republicans.
So what Obama didn’t admit was, up until February of this year, when he told Tim Russert that not only would he aggressively seek an agreement on public financing, that he personally would sit down with John McCain and work it out, then, all of a sudden, they realized that all these small contributions were coming in and he was going to have a financial advantage in the fall against the Republican, and they grabbed it.

Debates with John McCain? Here’s Obama before McCain challenged him to a series of town hall debates:
If John McCain wants to meet me anywhere, anytime, to have a debate about our respective policies in Iraq, Iran, the Middle East or around the world, that is a conversation I am happy to have.
Here’s an Obama spokesperson after:
Mr. Plouffe called the McCain campaign’s offer “appealing,” but said they would prefer a format that is “less structured and lengthier than the McCain campaign suggests, one that more closely resembles the historic debates between Abraham Lincoln and Stephen Douglas.”
Oh, well. So much for “anywhere, anytime.” Obama fears going mano a mano with McCain on McCain’s terms. No one would blame Obama for holding out for a more favorable deal, if only he had not said, “Anywhere, anytime.”
If campaign finance was the most opportunistic of Obama’s flip-flops, this one has to be the most disingenuous:
In 2007, his campaign told the Chicago Tribune he believed the Washington, D.C. gun ban was constitutional. Now they say that was an “inartful” explanation. Now, the public is supposed to be believe the message of the day from the Obama campaign, which is that of course he knew the gun ban was unconstitutional.
Obama seems to be working hard to make John Kerry look like a straight-shooter.
Now plenty of people oppose gun rights (I am not one of them), and if Obama really is one of these, why play politics with such a fundamental issue?
Oh wait, playing politics with issues is what Barack Obama does.
